WE ARE HERE BECAUSE OF THE GOOD NEWS OF CHRIST JESUS

We are sinners who have been rescued by Jesus Christ. As a church, we come from different backgrounds, education, socioeconomic status, ethnicities, opinions, experiences, and personalities, but we are united in the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

So when we gather, we do so to worship our marvelous Savior. We come to celebrate the good news of the Gospel. We’d love to share with you more about this Good News we hold so dearly.

Please come knowing you are in the midst of a group of broken people, all in need God’s grace.

WHAT TO WEAR

There isn't an expectation or strict dress code. Many folks dress casually and some dress more formally.

WHERE TO PARK

The building has a parking lot that is accessed from McKinley Avenue.  There are two spaces for accessible parking and a designated visitor space closest to the door. We encourage individuals with mobility concerns and families with young children to park close to the building. There is on-street parking on both 10th Avenue and McKinley.

FELLOWSHIP MEAL

Every Sunday at 4:30pm, we have a meal in the fellowship hall located in the basement level. This is typically a light dinner to prevent the rumblies during the Worship Gathering and provide an opportunity to connect with others. We announce the coming week's meal during the announcements and in our church app.

SUNDAY SERVICE

Our worship service focus on the glory and beauty of the Gospel in Christ Jesus. We sing God's praises through theologically rich songs. We pray together in adoration, confessions, thanksgiving, and supplication. We hear the Word of God read and receive the Word of God preached. Each week, we also remember the grace of God at the Lord's Table.

MUSIC

When we sing, it is to praise and proclaim the glory of God.  Practically, we sing songs that help us meditate on God and His Word. These songs are usually centered around the truth and themes that will be preached in the sermon. We sing a blend of different styles of music, which means we all might be stretched at some point in the service when it comes to what's familiar or preferred. Yet, no matter the style, the substance is the Gospel.

PROCLAMATION

We are a "people of the Book" -- throughout our worship service, we hear from God's Word in the call to worship, Psalm reading, sermon, and benediction. Preaching at Mosaic Fellowship is expositional -- usually sequential through a book of the Bible -- explaining the passage, applying it our lives today, and rooting it in the Gospel of Christ Jesus. We have a plurality of preachers so as to emphasize the importance of the Scripture over the singular personality preaching it.

CHILDREN

Children are God’s gift to our church. They remind us that He is growing His body while raising up the next generation of His people. We welcome children during the entire service. To support you, we have bouncing seats, children’s sermon notes, and an unstaffed nursery in the basement level. The Nursery contains a changing table and supplies, a chair to feed infants, and calming
items to help children who may be overstimulated. We encourage you to use the nursery freely and return to the worship gathering with your children when ready. Even if your child doesn't grasp everything in the service, we pray that they'll at least come away with a sense that church is important and the worship of God is central.

RESOURCES

We try to make a point in explaining why we do the different things we do in a Worship Gathering.  We provide a printed, paper bulletin as well as offer our order of service online where you can follow along.  Additionally, we'll call out the page number for reference and you can use the black ESV Bibles to be on the same page -- and if you don't have a Bible or one you understand, you can take it home as our gift to you.  Our app also contains numerous resources that you can access digitally. Lastly, we have our Resource Table that includes the children's sermon notes, weekly bulletins, books for you to take a look at and review, and free stuff.
